The Groundswell Project

A worldwide growing momentum of real athletes and their passion inspired this site. So we created a place to promote, share and celebrate these athletes and their sports from throughout the world. Athletes that train, compete and do their thing for the passion, the spirit and the competition. Events that exist to celebrate and promote these athletes and their places...Climbers, skiers, surfers, runners, ultimate players, paddlers, rowers, base jumpers, cyclists....they are all in here and more. Enter, learn, explore and be inspired...react, comment or start something new.

Does it really count if you're 11 years old, weigh 40kg (88 lbs) and can climb 8C?

Interview with Adam Ondra, young Czech who is climbing wicked hard sport routes...

Very fast ascent on the Nameless Tower

Mount05_s Three U.S. climbers made a 12-hour ascent of the Eternal Flame route on Trango (“Nameless”) Tower in Pakistan, but were kept from the true summit by a fierce snowstorm. Micah Dash, Nick Martino and Renan Ozturk climbed the 32-pitch route with no fixed lines or bivy gear, reaching the shoulder of 20,469-foot Trango Tower around 5 p.m. see more here...: http://climbing.com/news/trango12hrs/
